- book two in the Love Notes series -
Scheduled for release August 15, 2013

Everyone thinks of me as this happy and upbeat person. What they don't know is that I carry a deep, dark secret. Something horrible happened to me a year ago, and I have kept it quiet all this time. I was fine for a while, but somehow it’s ...chosen this time to come back, and it's eating at me--like a cancer.

I need to tell someone about it, I just don't know how. I'm pushing everyone I love away, including my mom and my best friend Charlie.

Then there is Will. Handsome, sweet Will. We went out on a date a while back, but then the incident happened leaving me crushed and him confused.

How do you tell someone you care about all of your secrets, and will they still want you when the truth comes out?

Love Notes is available now!

How do you cope when the people you care for hurt you the most? When the way you feel on the outside, smothers you on the inside. And when you are left to face your demons alone, will you learn that only you have the power to overcome them? Charlie has never had it easy. Between the constant moving and the incessant fat comments and jokes from her father, her self-worth is nonexistent. Her reflection in the mirror shows her nothing but a plain Jane. Music is the only thing that keeps her sanity in check. Charlie catches the eye of the town star quarterback, Maverick. With her curves, her brunette hair, and the voice of an angel, Maverick has never met anyone like her. Everything that is different about Charlie just makes Maverick like her more. Unfortunately, Charlie doesn’t see it herself. Proving it to her may deem harder than he thinks, especially when tragedy strikes and tears them apart. Now standing on her own two feet she may finally learn exactly who she is, what’s she’s capable of and how very un plain Jane she really is.

February 2013 - Cover Reveal for Love Notes

Small snippet: 2/11/13

I quietly shut my door and put my Ipod on. Music. The only thing that will help calm me. I stand in front of the mirror that I had just hung up the night before and take a good look at myself. I see a tear stained girl standing there. Nothing special to look at. My best and only attractive feature would be my eyes. However they don’t out weigh the bad. I have dark auburn hair that hangs past my shoulder in long layers. On a good day my hair is tamable. On most days it’s in between a curly and straight. I see chubby cheeks and a double chin as well as a nose that resembles a ski slope. Nope, nothing special here just an over weight, plain Jane girl.

Small snippet of "Love Notes"

I throw my shoulders back, head up and without saying anything walk into class. This is certainly harder than I even thought it was going to be because there he is sitting in his seat and who is sitting right beside him but the “bitches”, lovely. I walk into the room avoiding any and all eye contact with either of them. I walk past and am about to sit in my seat when I hear a snort of laughter between the two. Ok, time to say something and start taking up for myself because I am over this shit.

“I’m sorry Ashley do you need a tissue or some Affrin for that nose problem thing you have going on.” If looks could kill I would be dead, but I sure slapped that smirk right off of her face. Inside I’m beaming like a fool. Not because I really said anything that smart or profound but because I actually stood up and said something. Ha, take that bitches I scream in my head.

A little about me....

I have been asked by several about why I chose to blog as well as write. Here is where it all began..Since I was a little girl I have always had a love of books. I was all over Little House on the Prairie, The Babysitters Club and Anne of Green Gables series. I could not get enough. I would read until my hearts content and well into the night just like I still do. Hence the name of my Blog Into the Night. I would scour antique shops for all of the Nancy Drew series books where I could get them for next to nothing.

I had such a love of these books that I wanted to be in these stories. At the age of 12 I decided to start writing my own stories. They were tales all right and I have had a love of writing ever since. I loved creating something. A new place with new people and different names. I loved coming up with character names.

Then I found this community that I never knew existed. This Indie Community where you can actually support the Author's themselves and as well as a place you could actually live and follow your own dream. Blogging became a way for me to be able to spread the word. A way to tell everyone what books they were missing out on and not reading and why they needed to read it. I am so passionate about my books and my husband so does not get it... ;)

Indie Author's have written some of my very favorite books and are so over looked. The Indie community is also where I have met some of my closest and best friends. People that will forever be in my life. Life long friends that I hope to meet one day.

If it were not for my friends I would not be writing and publishing my first book and following a dream I have had for more than 20 years and for this I will always be eternally grateful.

This is also a place that when someone needs help we all pitch in and do what needs to be done. I said this earlier today to someone I admire. Charity is more than just a word but the actions you put behind the word. I am proud to be a "small" member of this community. Though there may be ups and downs we all rally together when it counts and that is something to be proud of.~

Writing is something I've always done. Whether it be as simple as writing in a journal or to help write an article in a school newspaper, I have always found an outlet in writing. Just like reading is an escape, so is writing. Friends have always joked with me about writing a book, and it has always been a dream of mine for the last 20 years.

My dream if you will, had been placed on a bucket list. I'm not going to wait for this said "bucket" list, I have decided to seize the day and FINALLY do something about it. With the encouragement of fantastic friends, new and old, my support system is a mile long.  I couldn't do this without the encouragement of these people. For this, I will always be eternally grateful.

I have days I want to give up but dangit these characters are now a part of me and won't shut up. I have a story to tell and I hope by writing it I can share a little of myself as well have a reader take something away from it. I want to impact a reader, this is my goal.

I have a fantastic friend/editor by my side who is ever so patient with me. In my opinion, I have the BEST on my side!

The first book is called Love Notes and Robin Harper/Wicked Cool Design who is also a very dear friend (I could not do this without her) is my cover designer

Second book in the series is called Heart Strings

Here is the Synopsis for Love Notes-subject to change

How do you cope when the people you care for hurt you the most? When the way you feel on the outside, smothers you on the inside. And when you are left to face your demons alone, will you learn that only you have the power to overcome them?

Charlie has never had it easy. Between constantly moving and the incessant fat comments from her father, her self worth is nonexistent. Her reflection in the mirror shows her nothing but a plain Jane. Music is the only thing that keeps her sanity in check.

Charlie catches the eye of the town star quarterback, Maverick. He sees something in Charlie he’s never noticed in any other girl. She’s different, curvy, brunette and has a voice of an angel. He sees something extraordinary in her.

  1. I read Love Notes last weekend. Usually before I read a book, I make it a point to read the synopsis just so I have an idea of who the characters are and somehow what to expect of the story. However, with Love Notes I was not able to do that, but I fell in love with the simplicity of the story of the book. While reading, I knew that a spinoff is to be expected to have a better idea on why Will and Tori's could not have a relationship. Tori is keeping a secret or probably has demon/s to overcome which we would find out in book 2, I'm so looking forward to it.

  2. I am absolutely loving your playlist! I found your book on my Kindle and I was wracking my brain trying to figure out if I agreed to do a blog tour for a review or just a review. I absolutely couldn't remember why I had your book and then I realized I must have read the awesome reviews and decided to buy it, lol. I can't wait to get a chance to read it and get Heartstrings!
Congratulations on your success. Your twitter link on Goodreads doesn't work. But you are cute as a button in that picture. I can say that because I'm quite sure I am at least twenty years older than you! But YA (and MG) are my favorite genres. I was the MC in Love Notes. I never did make my dad proud of me. Never was good enough. But I got a great husband to make up for his putdowns. So Karma is at work in the world. Thanks for writing this novel! I already know I'll love it.
