To Have and to Harm (Remedy Series, #2)

She kept everyone from harm, except herself…

Raielle’s life was shrouded in secrets. Her power was a secret and so was her past. When she came to Fort Upton, everything changed. She discovered her family, and she found the boy who would own her heart forever. But it couldn’t last. Knowing so little about her power nearly destroyed her. She had to leave and break both their hearts.

Now she’s back in California, and she doesn’t have to hide who she is anymore. But there is no relief in that because she’s drowning in regret. She knew it would take a miracle or a sin to save her, and there was no miracle. Her survival came at too high a price. She found her father, but she can’t go back to Lucas until she finds redemption.

She saved him. Then she left him…

She came out of nowhere and changed him forever, then she disappeared and left him reeling. Her whole life, she never had anyone who really loved her. Until him. Did she think he wouldn’t come for her? Did she believe she wasn’t worth it?

Lucas leaves everything behind to follow Raielle. When he finds her, she’s a pale shadow of the girl he remembers. Her power is betraying her and so are the people around her, but one thing hasn’t changed. She selflessly wants to save the world, and he just wants to save her.

With more secrets to uncover and dark truths to face, Raielle and Lucas must make sacrifices to be together again. But in the end, will those sacrifices bring them closer together or tear them apart? When he’s forced to make the ultimate sacrifice, will she turn her back on everything she believes in to save him again?

~ This book is intended for mature readers due to sexual situations and strong language. ~

About Keep You From Harm (Remedy Series 1)

Secrets…

They weigh you down. I’ve kept a secret all my life. It’s my mother’s secret, too. I inherited it from her along with a unique ability that only we possess. She’s gone now, another victim of addiction. If her death isn’t enough to bring me to my knees, her betrayal flays me to the bone. Because the secret my mother and I have been keeping is just one of many she’d kept. She never told me I have an older brother. And now he’s here, eager to be my guardian.

There is no one else. So I move across the country to live with this stranger, my brother. But experience has taught me that most situations are temporary and forming attachments only leads to hurt in the end. That’s why I’m determined to keep to myself in this new place, struggling to seem aloof while I’m quietly breaking apart.

Then I meet Lucas…

His magnetism is hard to resist, and most girls at school aren’t resisting. I don’t fall so easily though, especially not for guys who use their good looks as a weapon. From the start, our interactions are tense and volatile. I know it’s because I’m denying the unwelcome desire that grips me when he’s near. I think he feels it, too. He looks at me with an intensity that threatens to unhinge my resolve. Soon he’s trying to break through the walls that past hurts have built.

But I’m not what I appear to be, and it wouldn’t be fair to get involved with him. At least that’s what I tell myself. Until a terrible act of violence reveals that Lucas has a secret, too. It’s a secret that links us together and ties us to an evil history I could never have imagined.

Title: See You in Hell (Mel Goes to Hell #2)
Author: Demelza Carlton
Genre: Paranormal romance/ Office Satire
Publish Date: 30th April 2014
Publisher: Lost Plot Press
Event organized by: Literati Author Services, Inc.

Hate your job? Try working in HELL!

Melody Angel takes a job as a temp at the HELL Corporation. Surrounded by eternal bureaucracy gone mad, demons who love making life miserable, and dying for a decent coffee, it may take a miracle for Mel's mission to succeed. She must find out what evil plans the Lord of Lies has up his sleeve and stop him, using any means necessary.

Lucifer and his minions are out to take over the world, but there's more than money at stake when the Devil drives. Adding trouble and temptation to Mel's job is Luce Iblis, the damnably hot CEO, who has set his smouldering eyes on the new office angel and is determined to claim her, body and soul. Can ultimate evil and angelic perfection escape a limbo of desire and find a paradise of their own?

"Great, we'll see you in Hell at nine on Monday morning!"

How can an angel survive in a corporate Hell? Mel accepted a job in the Health, Environment, Life and Lands Corporation - otherwise known as HELL. Dying for a decent coffee, surrounded by bureaucracy gone mad and demons who just love making life difficult, Mel must find out what Lucifer and his minions are really up to – before his Corporation goes global.

Mel's no ordinary angel, but she's never dealt with demons before. Could the seductive CEO really be Lucifer himself? Are Luce's lusty looks all they seem, or is he after more than Mel's body? Does he have a hope in Hell with her, anyway? He's about to find out that this sweet angel's soul is not for sale.

A tiny taste of what's in store:

"Do you know how long you've made me wait?" Luce lifted his chin. "Close the door." Mel turned and kicked the door shut with the sole of one shoe. The click of it closing coincided with her eyes meeting Luce's once more. "Now strip and get your arse on the desk," Luce instructed. Mel stared at him. He couldn't be serious, could he? "Every other girl in this building knows how to do as she's told. Do you know how many girls I've had on this desk? You should consider yourself lucky. The last one I had in here was so quick getting undressed that I managed to give her a full fifteen minutes of my time. At this rate, you'll be lucky to have five." Mel became transfixed by the timber desktop. "Did you wipe it clean afterwards?" "What?" Luce's face reddened. "Did you wipe it clean afterwards?" Mel repeated patiently. "I mean, you work on it every day. Imagine how many diseases and strange germs each of your, er, accommodating staff members were carrying when they placed their bare behinds on your desk." The shock on Luce's face was priceless. He edged his chair away from the suddenly suspicious surface.

Demelza now lives in Perth, Western Australia, the shark attack capital of the world. The Ocean's Gift series is her first foray into fiction, followed by her suspense thriller Nightmares trilogy. I am an “Indie” contemporary romance author. I live in California with my husband and two teenage boys. I love being a stay at home mom. My husband and I enjoy wine tasting and camping with our kids with our four wheelers in the middle of nowhere, where you can find me with my pink Ryder BB gun!

We have a handful of pets, a dog named Lucy (who is in my books) and a guinea pig named Flufy (my son spelled her name that way) and a cat who adopted us many years ago and has never left. She is a spoiled outdoor cat with her own two story house and a heated bed.

I never liked reading as a kid. I only started reading romance novels in the past few years. My Kindle and I are inseparable now. A thought occurred to me in December of 2012 that maybe I could write a romance novel. So I went to work with the encouragement of my husband and my sister-in-law. It didn’t take long to figure out that I really enjoyed writing.

Today I am a self published author and it has been an amazing journey.

Blog Tour: Salvation by Noelle Adams

Title: Salvation
Author: Noelle Adams
Genre: Adult/New Adult Contemporary Romance
Blog Tour hosted by: Love Between the Sheets

You get to the point where you can just say it. There was never anything special about me, except my father is rich and important. That's why it happened.

It was just a normal Tuesday afternoon. I was twenty-three and thinking about my new designer boots. They kidnapped me for ransom. They raped me before I was rescued. My therapist says that talking about it means I'm starting to heal.

I don't really think I am.

It's even harder to talk about Gideon. He couldn’t save me when it really mattered, so he keeps trying to save me now. He refuses to give up on me, and I can’t make him understand. There are some things you just can’t be saved from.

Warning: Salvation is a love story that follows a difficult path of healing after sexual assault. It is a true contemporary romance, but it addresses very hard issues, including rape and attempted suicide. Please consider whether this book is for you.

My teeth were still chattering, though. I couldn’t seem to stop.
“Do you want some more tea?” he asked, taking the empty mug out of my trembling hands.
I shook my head.
“Do you want another blanket?” His eyes were searching my face urgently, and I knew he was worried.
There was nothing I could do about that now, though. I just shook my head again.
“What can I do for you, Diana?” he asked, starting to reach over toward me but then stopping himself.
I couldn’t do anything except shake my head. I needed something, but I wasn’t sure anything could help.
We sat for a minute without speaking, the silence broken only by the chattering of my teeth.
Finally, his mouth twisted, and he said, “I don’t know what else to do.”
And for some reason, for no good reason, that made me think of something he could do. “Can you—” I broke off the question because I didn’t want to ask it. I didn’t want to want it.
“Can I what?” He leaned over toward me, his eyes aching as much as my body. “Please tell me what you need, Diana. Anything in my power, I’ll do.”
I almost couldn’t say it. It took all the strength of my will to make my voice force out the halting words. “Can you…can you hold me?”
He made a sound in his throat—something akin to a groan—and reached out for me immediately. It was a little awkward at first, because I was wrapped in the blanket and we weren’t in a good position on the couch. But he eventually moved me into his lap, my legs draped over his thighs, so he could pull me against his chest and wrap both arms around me.
I shook and burrowed against him. “Tighter,” I mumbled, hiding my face in his t-shirt. He felt warm and hard and strong, and I wasn’t any of those things.
His arms tightened around me, and it felt even better. Stronger. Like I might be able to lose myself in him. “Tighter,” I said again.

His face seemed to be in my hair, although I couldn’t sort through those kinds of logistics. But I heard him say thickly, “If I hold you any tighter, I’ll hurt you. And there’s no way in hell I’m going to do that.”

Noelle handwrote her first romance novel in a spiral-bound notebook when she was twelve, and she hasn’t stopped writing since. She has lived in eight different states and currently resides in Virginia, where she teaches English, reads any book she can get her hands on, and offers tribute to a very spoiled cocker spaniel.

She loves travel, art, history, and ice cream. After spending far too many years of her life in graduate school, she has decided to reorient her priorities and focus on writing contemporary romances.

More Than Her, #2

For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction." For every choice you make there are rewards, or there are consequences. It was my choice to walk away the first time. And my choice to chase her the second. But sometimes you don't get a choice, and all you get are the consequences.” "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” Unless that someone is Logan Matthews. Because loving him didn't give me the strength to walk away. It didn't give me the courage to fight for him. And when it was over, all it gave me was a broken heart.
