Heather's Big Thank You Giveaway!!

I started blogging almost 6 months ago for several reasons. One I have ALWAYS had a mad love of books and two everyone always asked me what I was reading. I never go anywhere without my kindle and it's always attached to my hip. Literally. In fact I have 2. I wanted to share my love of not only the books I love but the incredible talent of the Author's themselves and this became the forum in which for me to do it.

I love running a blog and it's the best thing I ever started. However, it is time consuming and you need to put 100% in to it. I also never want to compromise. Which is why I have decided to take on guest reviewers who will be posting book  reviews on the Into the Night Reviews blog. I never want to turn anyone away and I want to make sure that you get as many reviews on all of these books as much as possible.

The best part about this whole experience is the many, many life long friends I have met along the way. I wanted to celebrate big. So celebrate we will!!

So I decided to run a HUGE Heather's Big Thank You Giveaway. Two celebrations in one. A thank you to my followers as well as celebrating my almost 6 month blog birthday.  I was too excited to wait until tomorrow and decided to start the celebrating early. If you notice I also included paperbacks on books that haven't been released yet...  ;) USA only. Sorry

My review of How it Rolls

How it Rolls was a book I was highly anticipating. Was it worth the wait and did it exceed my expectations? Oh yeah and so much more...

I adored Falcon from Love & Skate and couldn't wait for his story. Falcon is absolutely perfect. He is the care taker of the family. Nellie's best friend and the "suit" of the family. He rocks is awesome Mohawk while wearing converse shoes and his suit. Yes an actual suit, not his birthday suit. Get your head out of the gutter.

Reed is a beautiful, orange haired and too thin girl who catches Falcon's eye quickly. Reed is hiding a few secrets that she is embarrassed and not ready to spill.
True to the Black Family way they take Reed into their home and into their hearts. Reed finds a family that she hasn't known in a long time.
However, nothing is ever perfect when there are secrets involved...

Lila's books are a breath of fresh air. There aren't a lot in this genre being written anymore. How awesome is it that you can always trust to know that her books are suitable for the YA audience? From page 1 she grabs your attention and you have to make yourself put it down. I know I must sound like a broken record because I say this every dang time. She sets the scene and you live it with these characters. I am invested in the Black family and will follow them wherever they may lead.

Let's see who is reading these posts... The first 5 people to comment below will receive a signed book mark  by Lila Felix! ;)

Book Blitz & Promo Post for The Closure & The Promise by Kim Carmichael

Synopsis:

Demon Dolan Ciar exists on three simple words: desire, denial, and destruction. Every four years, he is allowed one night of earthly passion to punish a deserving female. By the time he is finished, his victims are left as willing receptacles for demons yet to come.

Since she was four, a demon has been the only constant in Leora Desmond's life. He taught her how to seize control, to never give up, and to take whatever she wanted. At twenty-four, her self-centered existence is focused on one thing. She wants Dolan, and she won't be dissuaded.

A mistake brought Dolan to Leora. A promise bound him to her. Returning once again to ask for his freedom, he is faced with Leora demanding to be his next conquest. The ultimate retribution would be to take from her the ultimate symbol of her selfishness.

Now, Dolan must decide if he can doom her to life in living hell or face his own set of unearthly consequences, while Leora must choose between her pleasure and her heart.

The Promise blurs the line between good and evil, desire and love, and promises and commitment.

Looking for a Couple of Guest Reviewers for the blog

I am looking for a couple of guest spot reviewers for the blog. I receive an over whelming amount of ARC's and I hate to turn people down. There are so many writers out there trying to live their dreams and I want to be able to provide a review for them. The only problem is there is only 1 of me.

If you have any interest and have some review experience please comment below and leave your email and Goodreads link so I can look at your styling of a review and see how they mesh with mine.

I welcome all ARC's and all types of genres.

I am a very passionate reviewer and take what I write very seriously. I post on Goodreads and Amazon.

Thank you,

  Heather

For the Corn Family-HUGE Charity Auction in their honor

On the night of February 10th, 2013, Matthew Corn passed away in a tragic accident. It’s impossible to sum up the life and vibrant personality of one person in a few short sentences. To say Matt will be missed is an understatement of gross proportions. He was a loving husband and devoted father, quick to give his family everything they needed and more. Matt moved from Pittsburgh to Savannah with his wife, Daniele, to work at Gulfstream. Here they had three children: Ben, 5, Andrew, 2, and Lily, 1. He was a hard worker; always giving one hundred and ten percent to his job, but never missed the chance to joke. He was known for being obsessively organized and neat. If you wanted to see him panic, all you had to do was move his tools out of order or get his jeep dirty. Matt was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and Pittsburg Penguins fan, more than willing to go nose to nose for his favorite teams. He loved the outdoors and off-road ramp competitions. He spent time fishing and hunting with his children, eager to instill his love of nature. His friends knew him as a person that would drop everything if you needed help.

Now, it’s our turn to help. With the generous donations of these wonderful authors, we hope to raise money for the Corn Family to help with medical and living expenses. His loss has left a hole in the hearts of his family and friends that will never be filled, but it is our sincere wish that this auction will ease some of the burdens they face.

As a blogger I am honored to be a part of this community. A community that stops what they are doing to help those in need. To offer up goods and services for a greater cause. This is what it is all about. Charity, not the word its self but the actions behind the word.

Here is our chance to help a family in need. Let's show what the Indie community as a whole has to offer and show how generous we all can be.

Since his migration into the house next to hers, Sophia Valdez isn’t sure whether she wants to toss him under a bus or kiss that smirking mouth of his. But even as the temperature rises around them, leaping flames of passion, want and desire, everything either has ever known will be shattered by the lurking shadow hounding their every step, wanting revenge. Spencer Rowth moves to the sleepy town of River Port with his mother and twelve year old sister, Suzy, to escape a deceitful father, an unfaithful girlfriend and a life crumbling much too fast for him to grapple onto only to be smacked upside the head by the last thing he wanted again. Sophie was everything he refused to want. Her temper, her wit, her laugh, her smile, the way her entire body goes up in flames under his hands are things he would rather slam a lid on and forget. Instead, he finds himself falling for the smart-mouth next door. But how long will he have before the evil chasing them catches up? How long before the very thing he never wanted becomes his only thread to sanity? And who is after them? What do they want and why do they want Spencer and Sophie dead? Excerpt “I won’t bite,” he said, probably meaning it as a joke. “Oh if only that were my only problem,” she sighed under her breath. “What?” She shook her head. “Nothing.” She took his hand, slipping her icy fingers through his. The electric sparks tore a fiery path down the length of her arms, nearly melting the ice beneath their feet. She shivered involuntarily and felt his fingers flex. “All right?” Had his voice always been so husky? She dampened her lips. “Yeah…” The single word died in her throat as she was pulled towards him. Her heart tripped. Her lungs stilled. The heat of his body rushed over her with the subtle scent peppermint, leather, spices and smoke. A soft mist blew around them. Raindrops glistened in his hair, shimmering under the pale glow of the light post. His eyes were shadowed beneath wispy fringes, but the silver in them glinted like pools of liquid mercury. Her breath caught. It must have made a sound because his fingers tightened. His shaky exhale caressed her flushed face. “This,” he whispered so quietly she almost didn’t hear him. “Is why you are so bad for me.

Cover Reveal: Love Notes by Heather Gunter

I'm not going to lie and say this isn't a little strange to me to be revealing my own cover. But come on. I'm proud of it and want to shout from the roof tops. Who wouldn't want to? I hope you like it as much as I do!

Cover designed by the magnificent and ever talented and MOST important my good friend Robin Harper of Wicked by Design http://www.facebook.com/WickedByDesignRobinHarper?fref=ts

Synopsis:

How do you cope when the people you care for hurt you the most? When the way you feel on the outside, smothers you on the inside. And when you are left to face your demons alone, will you learn that only you have the power to overcome them?
Charlie has never had it easy. Between the constant moving and the incessant fat comments and jokes from her father, her self-worth is nonexistent. Her reflection in the mirror shows her nothing but a plain Jane. Music is the only thing that keeps her sanity in check.
Charlie catches the eye of the town star quarterback, Maverick. With her curves, her brunette hair, and the voice of an angel, Maverick has never met anyone like her. Everything that is different about Charlie just makes Maverick like her more. Unfortunately, Charlie doesn’t see it herself.
Proving it to her may deem harder than he thinks, especially when tragedy strikes and tears them apart.
Now standing on her own two feet she may finally learn exactly who she is, what’s she’s capable of and how very un plain Jane she really is.

Teaser:

He straightens himself up and tilts his head to the side and leans forward. My heart is pounding so hard and I know I’m going to meet him half way. Right before our lips touch he whispers, “I love you, my Charlie.” I catch the “my” but don’t get a chance to respond because his lips are already on mine. He starts ever so gently and places one of his hands on the back of my neck. He kneads my neck with his hand and it feels so amazing. We start out slow, tasting and playfully teasing each others lips. However, the teasing stops abruptly and we start to increase the pressure. I pull him forward and place my hands around his neck. I let my fingers glide through his hair at the nape of his neck. I love his hair. I hear a slight groan escape his lips and it just makes me want him more. How is it that a kiss can say so much? Saying I love you is huge but to kiss someone who has told you that, a kiss speaks the truth and I know. I know in his kisses that he has meant every single word.

ReDesigned Cover Reveal: Beautifully Broken & Breaking Beatiful by Amanda Bennett Dream Cast, Playlist & Giveaway

Beautifully Broken (Broken Series #1):
“STOP BOTH OF YOU!” I screamed as loud as my lungs would allow. I put a hand on each of their chests trying to separate them. “Raylon you need to back off. You don’t understand enough to get in the middle of this.” I looked up at him with a sympathetic look in my eyes, hoping he would see that I was sorry that I had to choose. “As for you,” I pushed Gray towards the front door, “you don’t get to come up in here with another girl around your arm, and then try to protect me. It doesn’t work that way Gray. You can’t want all of me one minute and then only some of me another. It’s not fair.” I looked into his eyes and I could see that my words were breaking his heart.

Breaking Beautiful (Broken Series #2):
He was driving me wild and my need for him surged through my body. The only problem was the doctor had told us no sex for at least 48 hours. These next two days were going to be PURE HELL. I squeezed his hands in mine before turning around in his arms. His eyes smoldered as they fell upon mine. I knew that look, and I was going to have a hard time resisting him. I lightly pressed my lips against his before pulling back to walk away. His strong hands wrapped around the back of my neck crashing his lips against mine. I could feel the urgency in his kiss, mainly because I was feeling the exact same way. Our kissing slowed to a more natural pace before he released me. I was breathless. There was no better way to describe how Gray made me feel.

*BLURB*

In her dreams whispers taunt her.

They chant wicked things to frighten her.

Every morning she wakes with the same sentence ringing in her ears.

'You're dead. You're dead and I just forgot to tell you.'

The problem isn't entirely the sentence.

It's the person she sees in her dreams chanting it.

It's her mother.

*AUTHOR BIO*
I am not going to talk in the third person. It feels weird.
I am a Canadian author of Paranormal Romance, Post Apocalyptic and Fantasy novels. I write a lot of books and jump Genres a lot. Mostly because I think I have Writers ADD, I like to call it WADD. It might be a real thing.
I write New Adult, my books have sexual content (Heck yes) and Swearing. You have been warned. Now enjoy! I have a beagle named Buster, a husband who I force to read everything I write and two girls who want so badly to be a character in my books. And not in that order. I am mid thirties so be prepared for the chick lit novel this year. I am calling it my Ode to my Midlife Crisis. I have been writing since I was old enough to lie. So for some time. If you're wondering about the hat, it's my 'Hey I'm Canadian Toque' Welcome to my world. Please enjoy the ride.
I am a huge fan of the Zombie Apocalypse and Eric Northman. Sweet Baby Jesus, that man is fine. I have recently branched out and have just published my first Fantasy novel. It is filled with Dragons, Magic, Princesses, The Volkodlak, oh and maybe a little bodice ripping and some cage fighting. But let's be honest who doesn't like a princess who can take care of herself. The novel is called Vengeance and the double sword wielding Princess Amillia guarantees plenty of it. Don't miss any of my amazing series!! Including the one being revealed in the spring, The Blackwater Witches. Bayou witches, creatures of the night and a creepy old haunted mansion.

We will go together to hell and back just to fix the mess of the Gods and man.

Excerpt from book 2 Daughters of Eden

“Show yourself I am not in the mood to deal with your games today.” I spat out feeling the venom swell and the anger boil, “I am feeling like a bloated carcass, every muscle in my body hurts and I am leaking from everywhere.”He laughed at me….he had the nerve to laugh at my misery, he would be sorry for that, I will make him pay. “If you do not show yourself now and take your punishment the next time you are in me I will make you hurt, that is a promise, not a threat.”

He appeared in front me in a flash and as he materialized I balled up my fist tightly and hit him so hard that he flew across the ground. That made me laugh, he leapt back so quickly he appeared a blur. He wiped his face the blood rushing from his nose, it stopped with his touch and rushed to me. “You think you are being funny my sweet, wait until I show you what I have in store for you.” He said with a laugh.

He picked me up in his arm gently but swiftly, just as I was lifted into his embrace the most intense pain ripped through my abdomen and back, water rush out from me. “What have you done to me?” I screamed body tremors’ racking my body, the pain was like nothing I had felt and since being outside the Garden I had experience a lot. With this pregnancy alone the pain was unbearable at times. But nothing like this.

“I haven’t done anything yet.” His voice softened and fear laced his voice, “What is wrong?”“I don’t know. I hurt so badly.” Tears running down my face, my body felt like it was being pulled apart. My insides were being shredded. He carried me into the shelter in which I shared with Adam and lowered me to my bed made of the sweet smelling grass of the land and the hides from animals that roamed it.

Pulling my knees to my chest I felt like my body was going to break in half. The pain hit so hard and so fast, pain in which I had never felt before. I had become used to the twinges of pain in my neither regions. Today however my back hurt much worse and there were constant intervals of my stomach tightening up and balling, but this pain was so fierce I felt as though I should be dying, except for the mere fact that I was not to die, I was curse to watch everything I cared for to die. But I would not die.

“What is happening to me?” Panicking not sure what was happening to me, I rolled back and forth on the bed bring my knees into my chest. There was so much pressure and more tearing pain. My breathing picked up until my head felt light.

“I think it is the curse my love.” Lucifer said as he wiped away the tears from my cheek. “Take deep breaths, try to relax yourself, roll to your side and let me relieve some of it.”“You do not know what it is I am feeling.” I hissed into his face, I felt my eyes flash and all I saw was red, biting back the pain and my fury, “So do not tell me what to do.”

A sensation like no other came upon me, I felt the overwhelming urge to bear down but it hurt so badly and I was terrified, I felt my skin ripping. Pushing myself up to a reclined sitting position, I began to bear down with a strength I did not know that I had a determination to get this over and get it over as quickly as possible. Holding my breath and pushing, pushing hard, I felt the babe slip from me, landing in the soft bedding. I fell back feeling like my insides had just been pulled from me, I drifted to sleep hearing the male child cry.

At least we made it into the house this time.
While leaving the restaurant, Mikalo had given me "the look".
But instead of his customary boyish smirk, the teasing grin hinting at his growing need for me, this time his eyes were already hooded with lust.
And after all but dashing out of the cab and running down the block to skirt quickly up the stairs, jam the key in the lock and slip inside, the door barely closing behind us, he was on me.
His hands pulling off my coat, his fingers tugging the scarf from my neck, mine ripping his free over his head, wrestling with the buttons of his coat and then the belt buckle around his pants.
He slammed me against the wall, his palms rummaging past my shirt to lie flat against my breasts as we kissed.  Deeply.
I broke free, pulling the fabric over my head, Mikalo dropping to his knees to slip off my shoes and wrestle my pants down my thighs and past my calves, his face quickly pressing close to my warmth.
My fingers in his hair, I ground my hips into him.
He moaned, the vibration of this helpless, desperate sound resonating against the delicate layer of silk.
I pulled him to his feet again, sliding his jeans down, the denim languishing 'round his knees as he kicked his shoes free, my fist immediately wrapping around him.
His tongue in my mouth, he groaned.
I smiled as I bent low, playfully ducking under his arms and, slipping from his grasp, starting up the stairs.
He laughed as he hopped, trapped by the denim, freeing first one leg and then the other before throwing the jeans to the side and taking the stairs two at a time to easily catch me.
And pinning me beneath him, he had smiled, the edge of the stairs cutting into my shoulders, my back, my legs, my calves.
"Is that what you would like, Ronan?" he asked.  "To go free?"
I squirmed, pushing myself against him as his lips met my neck.
He had called me Ronan.  Not "my Grace".
Yeah, this was going to be quite a night.
