Mikalo's Flame by Syndra K. Shaw Cover Reveal

Book Blurb:
Ronan Grace and her Greek god in grey wool Mikalo Delis. Still happy, still in love, and now living together in New York.

Despite it all.
Despite the lingering secrets of Mikalo's past and his complicated life. Despite Ronan's own doubts and worries, the strength of her love for him both shocking and frightening. Despite the jealousy and spite threatening her once successful career. And despite the unexpected emergence of a drunk, drug-addled viciously vindictive blast from Mikalo's past.

Will Ronan and Mikalo stumble under the weight of all these challenges and doubts and confusion as they move toward creating a life together? Or will they fight, giving their love what it needs to survive.
Despite it all.

Excerpt One:
At least we made it into the house this time.
While leaving the restaurant, Mikalo had given me "the look".
But instead of his customary boyish smirk, the teasing grin hinting at his growing need for me, this time his eyes were already hooded with lust.
And after all but dashing out of the cab and running down the block to skirt quickly up the stairs, jam the key in the lock and slip inside, the door barely closing behind us, he was on me.
His hands pulling off my coat, his fingers tugging the scarf from my neck, mine ripping his free over his head, wrestling with the buttons of his coat and then the belt buckle around his pants.
He slammed me against the wall, his palms rummaging past my shirt to lie flat against my breasts as we kissed.  Deeply.
I broke free, pulling the fabric over my head, Mikalo dropping to his knees to slip off my shoes and wrestle my pants down my thighs and past my calves, his face quickly pressing close to my warmth.
My fingers in his hair, I ground my hips into him.
He moaned, the vibration of this helpless, desperate sound resonating against the delicate layer of silk.
I pulled him to his feet again, sliding his jeans down, the denim languishing 'round his knees as he kicked his shoes free, my fist immediately wrapping around him.
His tongue in my mouth, he groaned.
I smiled as I bent low, playfully ducking under his arms and, slipping from his grasp, starting up the stairs.
He laughed as he hopped, trapped by the denim, freeing first one leg and then the other before throwing the jeans to the side and taking the stairs two at a time to easily catch me.
And pinning me beneath him, he had smiled, the edge of the stairs cutting into my shoulders, my back, my legs, my calves.
"Is that what you would like, Ronan?" he asked.  "To go free?"
I squirmed, pushing myself against him as his lips met my neck.
He had called me Ronan.  Not "my Grace".
Yeah, this was going to be quite a night.

Blog Tour Stop for Running on Empty by L.B Simmons & Giveaway!

I loved this book and boy is L.B Simmons going places! It was emotional & heartfelt and I felt every single bit of it.

My review of Running on Empty

I figured L.B's book would be good but I just never imagined how good. She blew it out of the park and completely blew my expectations. I have thought about this book all day long.

Alex is a widow and a mother to 3 spitfire little girls (who completely remind me of some other children I know) and takes place 3 years after the death of her husband Derek. She has never moved on from his death, loving him completely still and hanging on to dear life. However, she is a quick witted loving mother who puts her kids first. Alex has a pretty fantastic best friend by the name of Harlow that stole my heart. She is the kind of friend that everyone should have. Telling you things you need to hear even if it's hard for you to listen to. Everyone should have a Harlow.

Let me introduce Blake. Blake is tall dark and handsome motor cycle riding man of perfection. He and Alex were best friends when they were kids and has just come back in to town after so many years away. Their friendship fell a part years ago and was never resolved. They become friends again and resolve their past which is not something that is fixed over night, it is something they work on and not rushed. The relationship and dynamic between Alex, Blake and the girls was so moving and heart warming. I COULD NOT GET ENOUGH!

I cried and then I laughed and then I cried and then I laughed. I repeated this process through the whole story. L.B did something truly amazing. She didn't over describe which was so damn refreshing. It was simplified if you will, not in a bad way but in a fantastic get to it and get to the meat of the story kind of way. No need for all the over descriptions throughout. This was a thought out book that flowed throughout and had the best dialogue I have read in a while. The best part is that it was so REAL. This book is about friendships, family and love and learning that you can still love your past as well as your future. I could not recommend this book more and I truly walked away taking something from it.

Blog Tour Stop: Just Breath by Kendall Grey

He made a deal with the devil to save the woman he loves…

After tragedy rocks the foundation of their relationship, Australian Sentinel Gavin Cassidy and whale biologist Zoe Morgan call it quits. Gavin can’t forgive himself for shattering her trust, and being with the sexy rock star is killing Zoe. Literally.

But love—and duty—are powerful motivators, and alliances are forged in the most unlikely places. With the key to salvation locked inside the mind of an unconscious child, Gavin must find another way to snuff out the Fyre Elementals before millions of humans die, or make good on his deal with the devil and lose the one he loves. Again.

*This book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Not suitable for readers under the age of 18.

**The author will donate all profits from the sale of the JUST BREATHE trilogy to programs that educate people about whales and the challenges they face.(less)

Gavin Cassidy’s Top Ten Cars

1.  Any brand of woody wagon. Lots of room for extracurricular fun.

2. Lamborghini Murcielago. 661 horsepower. Not high up in the “aesthetically pleasing” category, which is why it ranks low on my list. But I certainly wouldn’t kick it outta bed.

3. Ford Mustang. Affordable, fast at 305 hp, decent gas mileage. Nice toy to keep about.

4. Land Rover Discovery 4 SDV6 SE. Great all-terrain vehicle for mudding and that.

5. Aston Martin One-77. Because who doesn’t want to pretend they’re James Bond whilst zipping through Sydney traffic? And it comes at the low, low price of $1.85 million. Badass spy gadgets and license to kill not included.

6. Hennessey Venom GT. 6.2-liter LS9 Turbocharged V8 with 1200 horsepower. Only drawback: price tag is a bit off-putting at nearly a million.

7. SRT Viper VX. Hot style and 640 horsepower say it all.

8. Chevrolet Corvette C7. Not out yet, but they promise a resurrection of the 70s Stingray. More badassery.

9. Ferrari California. Top speed 310 kph. zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. Yes. Yes. And yes.

10.  1970 Holden HT Monaro. My baby. Wouldn’t trade her for the world.

Top Ten  Desserts

10. Blueberry tart with vanilla yoghurt. Don’t judge.

9. Lamingtons. I’m not a huge fan of chocolate, but this isn’t bad, and it’s a national favourite. July 21 is National Lamington Day in Australia.

8. Grilled bananas with passion fruit and yoghurt. Mum used to make this on Sundays. Fond memories.

7. Scones with clotted cream. I’m not afraid to admit I like a good scone.

6. Anzac biscuits. Simple. Crunchy. Delicious. Lots of history behind these as well.

5. Baklava. Honey and nuts. Winning combo.

4. Tim Tams. Any flavour. Pure Aussie goodness.

3. Strawberries and cream. For my lady.

2. Pavlova – what respectable Aussie doesn’t love a good pav? The meringue is my favourite bit.

1. American hot fudge sundae. Vanilla ice cream. Desiccated coconut. Cherry on top. LOTS of fudge. You don’t even have to eat it to enjoy it. Just ask Zed. ;-)

Top Ten Things I Love about Zed

10. Her hands. They work magic on me.

9. Her girly bits. Anyone who doesn’t include girly bits on a Top Ten List about his girlfriend is a bloody liar. Blokes like boobs and…stuff.

8. Her hair. It always falls in between us when we’re getting busy. Sexy as hell.

7. Her mouth. Pretty obvious where I’m going with this one. See number 9 above.

6. Her feet. I’ll admit. I have a bit of a foot fetish. But only with Zed. Never cared for feet before I met hers. They’re so delicate. Perfect. Kissable. I get a hard-on just looking at them.

5. Her determination and drive. Once her mind is set, Zed won’t let anyone or anything get in her way. She’s relentless. In every way.

4. Her passion. I’ve never met a person so dedicated to her profession. She thinks, breathes, and lives whales. Sometimes I’m a bit jealous when she gets lost in her own little world with them. But I get it. And I love her for it.

3. Her Water. Deep, rich, cool, calming. The best part? It’s all for me.

2. Her eyes. They see straight through me and into my soul. I’m totally vulnerable when she looks at me. And that’s fine by me.

1. Her mind. It works in such unique and beautiful ways. Zed is the smartest person

Teaser:
Rolling onto my side, I slide my body closer to him. He slips his arm under my head, cradling me against him and pressing his lips to my forehead. I sigh deeply. I finally feel myself relax, as I grow used to being this close to someone. I giggle as I recall my first meeting with Ben.
“What?” he asks, pulling back and glancing down at me.
“I was just thinking about when I first met you on the beach. Remember? Roxy followed me.” Hearing her name causes Roxy to feel like it’s an invitation to join us on the bed. She spins at the foot of the bed and lies down quietly.
“Of course I remember.” He pauses and kisses my head again. “I have to admit something to you.” I giggle because I can only imagine what he has to say. “When you dissed me that day, it only made me want you more, sort of that wanting what you can’t have mentality.”

“Thanks for not stalking me and just so you know, I kind of wanted you too. You were all wet and shirtless and looking like you do. I thought about you a lot after that.”
“See and I thought you were a good girl. But I did stalk you. I just did it in secret. Did you really think it was a coincidence that I met up with you every morning at the beach?”
“I am a good girl, obviously, I had no idea you were stalking me. I’m glad you did, I wouldn’t have pursued you.”
“There’s something about you that I can’t ignore,” he says and his voice turns to a whisper. “I’m drawn to you.”

I close my eyes and a shudder runs over my body. I knew this day would come, but I’m still not prepared for it. His words terrify me, but I don’t say it out loud.
